My Best First Date Ever

What was your best first date ever?

I had to dig deep to figure out what mine was. It turned out to be with someone who shared several of my interests WAY back in the day.

He was a geologist and I a Flight Service Specialist (somewhat akin to an air traffic controller which I became later).

We both loved hiking, photography and physical geography, so that’s what we did for the first portion of our first date — went out hiking in the back country, taking pictures and appreciating the land.

Although the relationship didn’t last, I took some of the best pictures I’ve ever take that day and that’s what makes it memorable.
